Welcome to the Scottish Society of Richmond

On behalf of the President, all the Board Members, and current Society members I’d like to welcome you to the Scottish Society of Richmond’s website. If you are here hopefully that means you have an interest in all things Scottish. This site is hopefully a portal into staying connected and learning about the goings on of the Scottish Community in Richmond and surrounding areas. If it’s events, genealogy, fellowship, or just where to find a good haggis hopefully this site and the Society it’s self will help you connect and interact with what ever you are interested in. We hope that after looking at the site you’ll want to become a member and if you already are a member that you’ll find tools to help keep you connected and involved. Enjoy browsing the site and please come join us at any of the monthly meetings or any events listed above. We’re here waiting to help you connect with the vibrant Celtic Community that is flourishing in Richmond. Thank you and enjoy.

Just ran across this url that was posted by a friend on FB – http://whiskythaw.canterburymuseum.com/
I wonder how old the whisky was when it was bottled, is there anything left in the bottles, will they REALLY let someone taste it?

Making Clootie Dumplings for the meeting Thursday night, 11/18. I love it when we have a “Taste of Scotland” night! Hope to see lots of members. Bring guests, too!

Really enjoyed our November meeting. The food was great, the people warm and friendly, and the program very informative. If you weren’t there, you missed a good time! Hope to see you at the Alexandria Christmas Walk.
