11/11/2010 Pub Night Cap Ale

As Scots we love to gather, talk, sing, and occasionally imbibe. What could be better than a pub night out with your fellow Scots? How about a pub night that helps raise money for your Scottish Society of Richmond.

The Scottish Society of Richmond has partnered with Capital Ale House to help raise money for the Society. Capital Ale House has a wonderful program to help 501c3 Charity’s such as ours called Community Chest Night and for the month of November the Scottish Society is a featured group. So here is how it works: Any Thursday night in the month of November. (That would be the 4th, 11th, 18th, and even Thanksgiving Day the 25th) if you take the flyer that you can download here bring it with you, to any of Capital Ales three locations (Innsbrook, Downtown, and Midlothian), present it to your wait staff. With that magical flyer the Society will earn 25% of the meal (excluding alcohol) back as a donation. It’s that easy invite your friends eat drink and be merry all the while knowing you are helping the Scottish Society at the same time.

OK that’s great and everything but get to the pub night already. Thursday night November 11th the Society will be meeting at the Innsbrook Cap Ale to gather and bring a touch of the Alba magic to the building. Make sure you print out your form and bring it with you. If you are coming please email Doug Elder at vicepresident@richmondscots.org so we can get a count and try to all sit together. This should be a fun evening out and again if you can’t make it the 11th there are three other opportunities for you to help the Society out. Spread the word, email the flyer, send the link to this article or the link to Cap Ales site so people can download the flyer. Get the word out and lets have fun and help the Society at the same time.
